The Syracuse Urban Youth Development Coalition (SUYDC)
The Syracuse Urban Youth Development Coalition is a consortium of grass-roots, faith-based and community agencies dedicated to youth development in the City of Syracuse.
The purpose of SUYDC is to lead the diverse communities of Syracuse in their youth development initiative in a
collaborative manner resulting in community wide transformation that offers enhanced resources and opportunities to strengthen families and young people, augmenting their resilience so that they are better equipped to meet the challenges of today and beyond.

Chartered in 2007, the SUYDC coalesced through funding support by a Federal Compassion Grant and convening leadership of the Syracuse Model Neighborhood Facility, City of Syracuse, and Syracuse University.
The Coalition creates synergistic educational and recreational programs for inner city youth, addresses community issues, advocates for safety and well being of the community and strengthens alliances and relationships with neighboring service providers and educational organizations.
