The Violence Intervention Prevention Program (VIP) is a community based intervention strategy to reduce youth, street and gang violence. The program is a partnership woven together by provider agencies, public safety, and community based organizations that build on their various strengths and competencies to service the target population in a culturally sensitive, collaborative and holistic manner.

Mission

VIP's mission is to improve the quality of life for individuals between the ages of 7-30 who are at-risk of becoming the victims and/or perpetrators of gang related violence by:

empowering clients to make productive choices
enabling clients to effectively address life’s challenges
