About the Syracuse Urban Youth Development Coalition
The Syracuse Urban Youth Development Coalition (SUYDC) is comprised of seven community partners to develop and augment their capacity to become major players in the process of contributing to youth
development. All SUYDC partners look for a unified approach with community engagement i.e. while developing capacity and programs to meet community needs, collectively identify a unified mission and consistent collaborative theme and design.
It is anticipated that each entity will improve their capacity to better serve the at-risk youth population between the ages of 12 to 21, have stronger more effective boards of directors, have more 
efficient fiscal operations, healthier financial management systems, better trained staff and volunteers, enhanced ability to secure funding through a competitive grant application process and improved youth and family oriented programming that effectively reduce the risk factors and increase the protective factors of those served.
